Exciting New Vacancy: Business Development Executive

We are looking for a proactive, confident person who can grow funded and commercial training offerings in Construction (CSCS Approved Testing Centre), RTITB Fork Lift and SIA Security

You must be able to identify new business opportunities to increase leads by researching our industry, writing proposals, and presenting them confidently and professionally aligned with our business plan.

Following industry trends to identify opportunities, you will be responsible for the growth of new clients which includes developing new client relationships and growing and enhancing existing relationships with clients, partners and learners.

You will need to have a strong desire to proactively contact and work with employers to identify their needs and to sell the most appropriate training program to meet their needs with our training.

2+ years of experience in sales, marketing or customer service (essential)

The role will include:

  • Build and maintain relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Engaging with existing clients to develop relationships, promoting both commercial and funded opportunities
  • Manage and keep your own CRM system up to date
  • Promoting all available products via telephone and email to all prospects
  • Delivering sales campaigns in line with the business objectives
  • Working closely with the BDM & AM generating new business growth
  • Increase and extend the customer lifetime value through targeted sales campaigns
  • Development of additional sales channels through partners and consultants
  • Meeting sales targets as defined by the business
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and forecast to management
  • Attend events to raise the brand awareness of the organisation
  • Utilise social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, to grow relationships
  • Support directors and senior managers on sales strategies

The Person

We are looking for an energetic, bright and passionate professional that can bring great value to the business.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the individual will need to have demonstrated success in previous roles.

Ideally the successful candidate will have a training or apprenticeship background or if not, business services (e.g. consultancy, recruitment).

It is vital that the individual comes with good references and has been able to demonstrate a positive impact within a previous role.

  1. Have a working knowledge of Adult Education Funding, Apprenticeships and the industry it is aimed at.
  2. Have at least two years of working in a similar role.
  3. Have a working knowledge of CSCS requirements in a construction environment.
  4. Display good communication skills when contacting new clients using phone email or social media. Confident in utilising social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, to grow relationships.
  5. Have a good understand of Digital marketing.
  6. Have a proven track record of preparing client presentations and materials, including PowerPoint and marketing material.
  7. Meeting new and existing clients in person and reporting potential business information in a timely manner
  8. Have a proven track record of working towards and achieving monthly KPI's, and the ability to report monthly achievements in a professional manner.
  9. Attending networking opportunities including industry events and rag rating leads gained.
  10. Have good time management and display the ability to organise a productive diary.

Essential

  • Experience in a similar role, 2 years or more
  • Proven track record of working with employers.
  • Proven track record in exceeding sales targets and customer expectations
  • Full UK driving license with use of your own car

This role requires you to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references if offered this post.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £25,000.00 per year + performance bonus
Holidays - 24 days + bank holidays (pro rata)
Pension - 5% from yourself, 3% from Resources (NEST)
